I’ve become quite interested in photography lately and after doing quite a lot of research I decided to look for a digital SLR camera. They’ve become quite afforadable now. After reading alot about SLRs I decided to go for the Sony Alpha 100.

Buying a new digicam

Canon Ixus II bought my current camera, the Canon Ixus I about two years ago. I choose the camera mainly because of its size. But that’s where the good points stops (in my opinion). It looks like the camera has a auto-blur function. About half my pictures are useless since they’re blurry, and it’s hard to tell if the photo is good or bad before copying it to the pc because of its crappy 80 000 pixels display. The USB-interface is version 1 (slooow). The video function is crap. The good thing was that it was actually possible to record up 3min videos then, but now most cameras have no such limitation. The video resolution is only 320×240. I’ve actually tried recording a video with the same light conditions and compared it to my girlfriend’s Canon Ixus 700. My video was dark and hers was viewable. So okay…I need a new camera, but which? (Read the article)
