Stuff that doesn’t matter

Flickr is down!

Flickr Down

According to the FlickrBlog the Flickr-site is temporarily down due to a storage glitch. They ensure that all photos and data are safe and that nothing has been lost.  To humor us, they’ve created a competition:

Because this sucks*, we thought you might like to enter an impromptu competition to win a FREE PRO ACCOUNT!

Just print out this page and colour in the dots. When the site’s back up, take a photo of your creation and post it to Flickr, tagged with “flickrcolourcontest”.

If you missed the competition you can print out my screenshot :)

Publish your photos using Picasa, Gmail and Flickr

Since my Gallery at foto.djupvik.org crashed, I haven’t bothered looking for an alterntive solution. I’ve heard lots of great things about Flickr, but haven’t really checked it out until now. I use Picasa to organize my pictures, and I’ve thought about somehow using Picasa to publish my pictures on the web as well. Today I think I’ve found the solution. I can email the pictures from Picasa, using my gmail-account to Flickr! Read about it here: Gmail, Picasa and Flickr

Flickr Wallpaper

I got the idea that maybe someone made an application which fetched a random flickr image and made it the desktop wallpaper. And I was right :) After 30 seconds of googling I found it! You can download it here.
