I must say I really like this new trend of applying design and content creation into the gameplay.
I think this trailer for valve’s upcoming game Portal speaks for itself:

I have always liked the ability to manipulate the environment of the game. The gravity gun in Half-Life 2 was genious, and it looks like this gun will be at least as awesome!

Street Fighter was such a enjoyable game when it came out. As I never actually had a console (Atari/Amiga) myself, I used to play this in stores or when visiting friends. But as other geeks I have other hobbies too. I’ve been dancing salsa for 3 years now, so this cool video from youtube was a must-post for me

I know I’ve discussed with friends years ago when the desktop would become fully 3D. I don’t know if this is a good idea, but it indeed looks great. It can however be discussed wheather it’s efficient to use. What do you think?

Do you think the MediaDisplay component in flash is to complicated to use…or maybe it’s just plain bad? Here’s an alternative I’ve created a small component which uses the NetStream class. The component takes an array of video urls/files. You can set lots of parameters like width, height, aspect preservation etc, background color and alpha, titles, randomized order, bordersize and color etc. You can also bind the component to other components.
